Ipoh

Ipoh is the capital of Perak State in Malaysia. Surrounded by rocky hills, it is often called the "Mountain City." Known historically as the "Tin Capital," Ipoh was once a major center for tin mining in Malaysia. Early Chinese immigrants came here to work in the tin mines, leading to the development of the city divided by the Kinta River into New and Old Towns. The Chinese community, speaking various dialects such as Hakka, Cantonese, and Teochew, settled here. Enjoying a cup of richly aromatic white coffee along with various traditional delicacies has become an essential part of experiencing the city.
