Volcano Curry Noodles | Little Forest Café

Kuala Lumpur Cuisine

Recently, I saw someone sharing a food recommendation in Kuala Lumpur, so I took advantage of the holiday to come and try it out myself. The place is the Little Forest Café near Kuchai Lama!Wow! It was extremely, extremely crowded! Seeing such a scene only sparked my curiosity more, and I decided to wait no matter what. The must-try dish here is the famous “Volcano Curry Noodles.” Hearing the name or seeing pictures doesn’t do it justice—seeing it in person proves it’s the real deal and truly packed with ingredients. One bowl of Volcano Curry Noodles is large enough for 3–4 people to share and contains around 10 different ingredients, including: chicken, cockles (siham), roasted pork, char siu (barbecued pork), shrimp, bean curd sticks, long beans, eggplant, fish, pork skin, and more. It's incredibly rich and generous. Personally, I think the curry is definitely worth trying!

They also have a specialty drink here called “Jin Chow Ice”—and it really lives up to its name! It’s an intensely strong and rich coffee, no joke at all—I couldn’t even finish it! Hahaha! It’s seriously kaw kaw (super strong)! The Jin Chow Ice is made with coffee, chocolate, and coffee-o (black coffee) ice cubes. Definitely something worth trying for yourself!
